Vulta vs Plisio: Custodial vs Non-Custodial Crypto Payments (2026)

Plisio charges 0.5% per payment (1.5% for white label) and routes payments through your Plisio account. Vulta charges 0% and sends payments straight to your wallet — plus card payments.

Plisio is a straightforward crypto payment gateway with plugins for popular e-commerce platforms. Vulta solves the same problem — getting paid in crypto online — with a different model. Here is what differs.

Fees

Plisio's gateway costs 0.5% per payment and its white-label product 1.5%. That's low compared with card processors, but it scales with your volume: at $20,000 a month white label costs $300.

Vulta's pricing doesn't scale with volume inside each plan: Pro is $20/month (up to $5k processed), Max $49/month (up to $20k) and larger merchants move to a Business plan priced on volume. Payments themselves are never cut.

Custody

Plisio describes payments as being sent automatically to your account — they pass through Plisio before reaching you. Vulta never touches the funds: your customer's payment is an on-chain transfer straight to your address.

Card payments

This is the biggest practical difference. Plisio only accepts crypto, so customers without a wallet can't pay. Vulta routes card payments through licensed providers (Stripe, PayPal, Coinbase, Revolut, Transak, Banxa and more, depending on the customer's country) and settles them as USDC to your wallet. For many stores that doubles the number of customers who can actually check out.

When to choose which

  • Plisio if you only need crypto, want ready-made plugins and are fine with a percentage fee.
  • Vulta if you want 0% fees, direct-to-wallet settlement, and card payments for customers who don't hold crypto.
