Does Vulta hold my money?

Accepted Answer

No. Vulta does not hold user balances at any time. When a client pays you via card or crypto, the funds settle directly to your designated, self-custodied wallet on-chain. This means that unlike PayPal or traditional banks, your money can never be frozen by us, and if Vulta were to go offline, your funds would remain completely safe and accessible in your own wallet.

Do I need KYC to create payment links?

No recipient KYC is required to create and share payment links on Vulta. You can sign up with just an email address and immediately start receiving funds to your crypto wallet. Note that while you do not need KYC, your clients paying with a credit card may need to pass a brief identity verification handled entirely by our regulated on-ramp partners.

Does my client need crypto?

Accepted Answer

No. Clients can easily pay using their standard credit or debit card, or Apple Pay. Our on-ramp partners automatically convert their fiat payment into cryptocurrency and send it directly to your wallet. The client experience feels just like any standard ecommerce checkout.

Who handles card payments?

Accepted Answer

Card payments and any required payer-side security checks are handled seamlessly by our licensed on-ramp providers (such as Stripe, Coinbase Pay, Revolut or Transak). They manage fraud prevention, chargebacks, and compliance, ensuring a safe transaction for both you and your client.

Why does the card payment page show a wallet address that isn't mine?

Each card payment uses a one-time forwarding address created for that payment. The card provider sends the funds there, and they are passed on to your wallet automatically. Vulta checks on-chain that the transfer reached your address before marking the payment paid.

Which wallets are supported?

Vulta supports any compatible cryptocurrency wallet on our supported networks. This includes hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor, as well as popular software wallets like MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Phantom, and Exodus.
