How to Accept Payments in a Telegram Shop (Card and Crypto)

Selling through a Telegram channel or bot? Here's how to take card and crypto payments with a simple link, without a merchant account, and get notified the moment someone pays.

Telegram has become a storefront for thousands of sellers: digital products, courses, physical goods, services and subscriptions sold through channels, groups and bots. The hard part is getting paid — especially across borders.

Option 1: payment links in chat

The simplest setup is a payment link per product or per order:

  1. Create a link with the product name and price.
  2. Post it in your channel or send it in a private chat.
  3. The buyer opens it, pays by card or crypto, and sees a confirmation.
  4. You get an email notification (Pro) or a webhook (Max) when the payment is confirmed.

Links work in Telegram's in-app browser, so buyers never leave the conversation for long.

Option 2: a link per order

For custom orders, create a link with the exact amount and send it to the buyer. On Vulta, each person who opens a link gets their own payment request, so several buyers can use the same product link at once without mixing up payments.

Card or crypto?

  • Crypto suits buyers who already hold USDT — common in many Telegram communities. USDT on TRON is popular for low fees.
  • Card lets everyone else pay: the buyer pays by card through a licensed provider available in their country, and you receive USDC in your wallet.

A Card + Crypto link offers both and lets the buyer choose.

Avoid the classic mistakes

  • Don't ask buyers to "send to this address and screenshot it." Without unique amounts or requests you can't reliably match payments to orders. Payment links do the matching for you.
  • Keep prices above card minimums (usually $5–$30 depending on provider) if you want card payments.
  • Use one link per product so your analytics show what sells.

Costs

Vulta takes 0% of each payment; plans are flat (Free, Pro $20, Max $49). Card providers charge their own fee to the buyer's payment.

Create your first link — it takes about a minute.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Telegram's built-in payments instead?

Telegram bots can use built-in payment providers or Telegram Stars for digital goods, but availability depends on your country and product. Payment links work for any seller, any product and any buyer with a browser.

Can one link be shared with many buyers?

Yes. Each buyer who opens the link gets a separate payment request, so payments never get mixed up.

How do I know who paid?

Each payment appears in your dashboard with its amount and time. On Pro you also get an email; on Max a webhook can notify your bot or spreadsheet.

Which crypto do Telegram buyers usually use?

USDT on TRON is the most common, followed by USDC and USDT on other networks. Offer the networks your audience already uses.
